Engaging in research is a key part of the undergraduate experience in Psychology at ÃÀ¹úAVƬ. Whether you’re interested in assisting faculty-led research projects or participating in studies to fulfill course requirements, there are several ways to get involved and experience psychology in action. 

Become a Research Assistant

Undergraduate students can work as research assistants (RAs) in faculty laboratories, either for course credit or as volunteers. This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing studies, learn about research methods, and collaborate closely with faculty and graduate students. Students considering graduate school are highly encouraged to pursue RA positions early—ideally by sophomore or junior year.

Be a Participant in a Research Study

Another way to engage with the department’s research is by participating in studies conducted by faculty and student researchers. Many psychology courses require students to complete an "Out of Classroom Experience," which can be fulfilled by participating in approved research studies, through the department’s SONA system.
